26 Weeks

Bath time is so much fun. And delicious!!

I'm going through a little bit of a language renaissance these last few days and I have three strong words in my vocabulary. I can say ate (A-tay), which is the Tagalog word for big sister. I relish saying it whenever I see my big sis Milla. I can say daddy, which I say fairly frequently to my pops. Although, not as much as he wants me to. I can also say dede, which is a tagalog for boob. I say this with a smile when I see mom's boob coming at me.

I can't wait to add more words to my growing list. I'm sure it will be very long when I see a lot of you very soon.

I also have a doctor's appointment this week, so we're all excited to see how big I am.

25 Weeks: ON VACATION

As some of you are aware, Wyatt is away on vacation visiting family. Therefore there will be no post today. We will try to accommodate you all with a supplement post when he returns later in the week.

24 Weeks

I love to chat! In fact I'm chatting up a storm right now. I also love to chew on things. I love to chew on everything, but I'm especially fond of water bottles.

I'm excited to go on my first airplane trip on Friday. I can't wait to meet more family. I wonder if I can chat to some people on the plane while they are trying to sleep. Maybe I'll just give it a try.

23 Weeks

Now that I have this sitting things under control, I'm now moving onto talking. There is much debate about what I'm exactly saying, but suffice to say I am making a valiant effort. The verdict is out on whether I can say any number of things, from Mama, Dada, Ate, Up, to even Hard Times. When you all see me you'll have to be the judge.

I'm now available in 14 languages!

I'm sure you all know I'm never one to lose viewers. So, in an effort to curb some of the quick exits by our foreign visitors, I had Dad add a handy translator. Now, if you want to read about my exploits in Simplified Chinese (or Traditional if your so inclined), all you have to do is use the handy menu located to the right.

UPDATE: Some people have express amazement that I've had visitors from other countries. To set the record straight, since we've been up, we have had viewers from: Ireland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Germany, France, Portugal, Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Brazil, England, Spain and Greece.

Long live the World Wide Web.

22 Weeks

I officially past the five month marker a few days ago, and I celebrated by mastering the art of sitting up by myself. Of course I do fall over if I get really excited and flail around, but come on give me a break. Now if I could only figure out what do next.

I'm enjoying my time on the webcam, and I'm still waiting for some new takers.

21 Weeks

Grab, grab, grab! That's all I want to do.

I know you all were expecting a video this past week, but I just wouldn't let Dad do it. There are just much more fun things for him to spend his time with, like me!!!

Though, if any of you all have a webcam, we are open for engagements.

20 Weeks

We had a request for a new video from one of our loyal visitors, and it takes a little bit longer to get one together. Look for that post to be up by morning.

19 Weeks

18 Weeks

I officially passed the four month mark this past week and I celebrated by taking a quick visit over to Dr Shimoyama's office. Unfortunately, instead of ice cream and cake, she gave me SHOTS!!!! I'm not sure how I feel about that. We did get some exact numbers on my size though, so we could stop listening to Mom and Dad's fish stories about how I am twenty pounds or some nonsense. Officially I am just a hair under 16 and half pounds and 26 inches. This is enough to put me in the 80th percentile in all categories, meaning I'm well proportioned.

Meanwhile, I am running Mom and Dad ragged, cause I always want to be on the go.

Oh, and I'm finding out I'm quite ticklish.

Gotta go, I'm getting antsy.

17 Weeks

16 Weeks

Sorry for the late post, but we had so much fun with Lola Teddy these past few weeks we needed a day or two to recuperate.

Yesterday I "unofficially" turned four months old, although we won't be celebrating till October 11th.

I'm back into rolling over again, and now I can turn over both ways. Although my interests are more toward sitting and standing, I do enjoy my tummy time!

15 Weeks

So, I don't know why, but Mom and Dad are always singing me this song -- maybe you know it:

"Hi! My name's Chubby..."

Whatever it means, it's kind of funny. I'm also figuring out that there is word that they like to call me -- Wyatt. They say it's my "name". Whatever. I appease them by looking in their direction when they call it out... sometimes.

One more thing: I'm learning that I have a very loud squeal, and I love to shout it out when I'm very excited.

14 Weeks

I have, at times, been accused of not posting enough pictures. This week I decided to offer a picture and video to appease the greedy ones.

Things are going a mile a minute for me here. I never want to stop doing things. I'm thinking of becoming an extreme sports junkie.

13 Weeks

In the vastness of cyberspace accidents happen, and it appears one has happened to me. My brilliant, Pulitzer worthy "13 Weeks" post, has been lost. For those of you who got to see it, you were one of the lucky ones. If you missed it here are the highlights.

No rolling, now sitting. REALLY big now. Dad thinks teeth. Would really love to stand now. Mom thinks I'm growing too fast.

12 Weeks

Upon reaching such an important milestone as three months you'd think we'd pull out all the stops with a wonderful ground breaking post to illustrate all the wonderful progress I've made. Right?!

Sorry, but after four straight days of over 100° weather all I want to do is swing and sleep.

11 Weeks

The morning calisthenics are really starting to paying off and I can now turn over. Dad made a short film to commemorate the moment and he cast me to play myself. I think the casting is a little off personally, I totally think I play 13 weeks on camera. It's his vision though, who am I to quibble.

[Producers note: Our production of "The Roll Over" has had to push back it's release date due to unforeseen difficulties. We at WD Studios don't want to point fingers, but needless to say the ball has been dropped. We had hoped that when we hired our lead actor for the role he would continue to show the professionalism that he had presented during the audition and rehearsal process, but this has just not been the case. He has however, promised us that he is getting his act together and will stop the all night party binges and show up tomorrow on time and ready to work. 10 Weeks

The neck calisthenics were exhausting this morning, but look how good I'm doing. Now, if I could only figure out where that boob went.

Before you all jump down my throat again. I'm posting a day late because yours truly had some visitors this weekend. Sweetie and Max braved the heat to get a good look at this mug, and we had a great time. We didn't take pictures till they were about to leave (and I was asleep), but who wants to take pictures when you're playing all the time.

The residents of Casa de Ruth are gonna take a break from visitors for a awhile (we think) and get back to business.

9 Week: UPDATE!

Little kisses my ass. Oh look, I just learned my first swear word. What an appropriate occasion. It will be some time before I trust mom and dad on these subjects.

On a more upbeat note, I am now 12lbs 13oz, 24 1/2 inches.

9 weeks

This was a pretty big week for me this past week. I learned I had these cool things called "hands", and they can be used to put things in my mouth. I'm still not sure exactly how they work, but 30% percent is pretty good in baseball right?

I have another big week coming up, too. We have a doctor's appointment today so I can get some shots. I'm not sure what those are, but mom and dad tell me they are like little kisses.

Also, on Friday Sweetie and Max are coming to visit, I'm so excited. Some else I can spit up on.

8 Weeks

This video was taken about five days ago, but I was too tired to have a screen test this morning. I would have had dad wait, but I know how testy Spike can get if we go too far past noon. I will have dad put up a new video later tonight or in the morning. I can hold up my head much better now, and I smile all the time.

Can't wait for Sweetie and Max to come soon!

We're moving!!

Wyatt's Den posts are officially moving from Fridays to Mondays. We realize that this might be a jarring change for some of our shut-in readers but we feel that the Monday time slot will better represent young Wyatt's future growth. To this end, we will also be moving his age calculator from the previous "Day" constant to the less bulky "Weeks" constant. We realize that this change marks a step backward as far as accuracy is concerned, but we feel that it is in the best interest of our mission statement.

We apologize for not giving any advanced warning and we hope this change will go by smoothly.

Day 47

I learned something very critical this past week. If I pick my head up I can look around much more effectively. Now, you can see me craning my neck just about anywhere it will go, even trying some ways it probably shouldn't, just to see if there is something a little bit more exciting in that direction. Not too keen on the grabbing things yet, but it's certainly not for the lack of dad trying.

I went to work with Mom yesterday...
I follow the boobs.

Day 40

Dad is feeling light on the witty banter today so he thought he'd put up two pictures to appease you all.

We had a great time with Aunt Stephanie. Looking forward to our next visitor.

I am a few days past my one month birthday, but to be honest I feel six weeks. I think it's all the eating and sleeping.

Casa de Ruth just got a brand new swing that I just LOVE. I can't get enough of it.

Dad decided to give you all a treat and upload some video today.

Day 26

Dad is trying to fall back into the regular Friday picture schedule with maybe an exciting update here and there through out the week. Things are starting to get into a groove in Casa de Ruth I do my best to sleep almost the entire night, which means I love to be up most of the day. I'm becoming quite fond of playing and smiling and I love my Tummy time.

I had a doctors appointment yesterday and I'm 9 pounds and 4 ounces and I grew a half and inch.

I can't wait for Aunt Stephanie to come visit next week.

Day 19

The stalkerrazzi is starting to get a little relentless. It's no wonder Paris, Britney and Lindsey get so jaded. I mean it's hard to deal with the constant flash bulbs and cat calling.

"Wyatt, Wyatt... over here!"

I mean COME ON!!! Can you blame me for getting a little snippy?

Day 17

More lazy days here at the spa. My umbilical cord fell out on Sunday night and I was rewarded with my first warm bath.

I'm doing a better job of sleeping for long stretches through the night so Mom and Dad can get some shut eye for a few hours.

I'm also showing my nice big smile every once and awhile, but Dad hasn't been able to catch it on camera yet.

And yes Dad is still obsessed with my feet.

Day 13

The cranial massages at Casa de Ruth are sublime — you'll have to try them.

Sorry I haven't written in awhile, Dad's been busy sleeping all the time.

Day 9

Greetings from sunny "Casa de Ruth". Where the bathroom attendants still have a soft touch, and the food is always prepared just right. Wish you all could be here. Hope to see y'all soon.

1 Week Old

Mom and I catch a lot of naps during the day so we can have lots of fun at night. Dad especially loves to get up REAL late to change my diapers.

Day 6

This is one of three poses you'll see me in during the day. The others are drinking from momma dede or crying cause I WANT to drink from momma dede.

Today's achievements:
• First smelly poo
• Letting mom, dad AND lola sleep more than five hours in a single night.

Day 5

I'm living up the good life at "Casa de Ruth", sunbathing all day and partying all night. They have such a helpful staff. I think it's one of those all inclusive deals because I get to eat and drink whenever I want — day or night.

Dad is starting to get kind of trigger happy with that camera too. All I hear is: click, click, click. So I imagine you be getting those picture I keep promising.

He even thinks my foot is cute.
